I'm very sorry to say that my corkscrew broke after only opening a few bottles of wine. I think it must have been defective because I had one of these corkscrews before that did a wonderful job and lasted for several years. I don't think the design is flawed, I think it was simply, as I said, defective from the start. I would try another one but am afraid that perhaps these new ones are being manufactured in a different place than the old ones and I hesitate to throw good money after bad. I am truly sorry to give such a poor review of a product I liked very much in the past.
