What do we mean by custom engraving?
Each piece we engrave is unique. We take each order and design an original template for each piece. We take the time to make sure that the layout suites the item, which results in the engraving being the most complimentary format for the piece.
How much does it cost?
Our custom engraving service costs $20.00.
How can I order it?
You can add custom engraving to your item by checking the "Add Custom Engraving" check-box under Gift Options. If you do not see an "Add Custom Engraving" option engraving is not an option for that specific item.
What is included in the price shown?
The $20 Engraving cost includes engraving in one area on an item ordered.
Wine Glasses (Sets of 4) = 1 Engraving fee.
Corkscrew Qty 1 = 1 Engraving fee.
Wine Glasses (Set of 4) + 1 Decanter = 2 Engraving Fees
Wine Glasses (Set of 4) with 4 different engravings = 4 Engraving Fees
Can we engrave a second area / two sides?
Yes. A fee of $5 - $20, depending on the item to be engraved will apply. To signify that you would like a second area engraved, please be specific in the engraving details by dividing the two areas into Area 1 and Area 2. If you are trying to fit too many characters in one engraving area, sometimes the engraver will make the aesthetic judgment to engrave the opposite side if the requested engraving is considered “cluttered”. You will not be charged when the engraver takes such liberties.
Example: Engraving Details (The details you specified on the website when ordering): Happy Anniversary Dana. December 12, 1988. Roses are red, violets are blue, I can’t believe you love me as much as I love you, love Dougie.
n this example, depending on the height and style of the glass/decanter, the engraver would put the poetic inscription opposite the anniversary data.
If you are unsure if your engraving qualifies under this example, it is best to contact us.
How long does it take?
Although each job is different, normally it takes 4-6 business days. More advanced jobs will take longer. For a quote please contact us.
Can you do a logo or an image?
Yes we can. Please contact us with a high resolution image of your logo so we can confirm that that logo can be done. Logos or images must be a BMP file (BITMAP files are basically black and white files that our system uses to create logos. The engraved area will be everything black.) and a resolution of 300 dpi.
If you have any problems with this request, please contact us.
What if I want a different engraving style than offered with the item?
Please contact us.
How is the engraving positioned?
All items will be engraved to fit the space available and centered in the available space, unless otherwise noted. Some decanters have a very limited space available for engraving because the engraver needs a flat surface or a surface less acute than 30 degrees to engrave on. Most decanters that have this limited space are not engravable, but we have left a few on the list to choose from, but with a Limited Engravable Space disclaimer. If the item you’d like engraved has this disclaimer in the item description, than expect the engraving to be much smaller than the standard engraving size (approx. 1”H characters).
What is our return policy?
Engraved items are NOT returnable. Unless Winestuff makes a mistake in spelling or engraving, the engraved item may not be returned. We will spell the engraving exactly as you submit it with your order. Please double check your spelling!
What if an item cannot be engraved?
If an item cannot be engraved for any reason, the item will be shipped to you without engraving and the cost of engraving will be refunded.
